I am mainly researching the Carter family of Dallas Co, originally from
Edgefield Dist, SC. Parents unknown at this time with the following
children:
Jarrett b. 1806, SC m. Matilda Day b. 1816, SC;
William Hamilton b. 1810 m. ?
Sampson b. 1812, SC m. Martha F. Stone b. 1819, AL;
Eliza b. 1817, SC m. (1)Nicholas Gibner b. 1806, Germany and (2) John
Eisnach;
Frances b. ? m. ?

I am also researching the Smoke family. Two sons married Gibner girls.
There was also a Donaldson of Dallas Co which married into the family,
but was probably killed in the civil war. I also have found some
connections with the Pierce family of Edgefield, but have not been able
to tie them into the family as of yet.

Very interested in any information on the above people, or anyone related
to these families. Many came from Edgefield Dist, SC.
