I've got records on a white Buford family who once lived in Dallas County,
Ala, and who left Dallas County and moved to Union Parish, Louisiana in the
late 1840s. There, they were connected to the McGough family, who had also
once lived in Dallas County. The Bufords were once (in Union Parish)
rather
well-to-do folks who owned slaves, both in Alabama and Louisiana. I have
no idea that the information is of any value to you in your search, but you
are welcome to it.
