News has just reached us of the marriage of Tom Dewberry and Miss Samantha
Hutchenson at Waco, GA. Congratulations!

Mrs. R.J. Boone, who has been spending the winter with her son O.B. Boone,
left last week for Wanilla, Miss.

C.H. Coggin has moved to East Lake.

FRUITHURST News
J.W. Wylie returned to Atlanta last Saturday after several weeks visit here.
Mrs. Wylie is incubating young poultry. She understands the biz.

W. McCovey of Milledgeville, GA has been spending the past week here, one of
Mrs. Kilgore's boarders.

Luther Garrick returned to Georgia last Monday where he is engaged in farming
for his uncle. He will remain tul the cropping season is over.

Charlie Hooper spent last Sunday in town with his brother Marlin. Come often
Charlie, we are all glad to see you.
__
Lola Garrick was a Tallapoosa visitor last week.

Mrs. Beverly, wife of W.J. Beverly died on Monday after an illness of two or
three days and was laid to rest on Tuesday.

Mr. W.J. Beverly requests us to thank all who were so kind and attentive
during the illness and death of his wife. He will always cherish in fondest
memory those favors.

Pen Way and wife left on last Saturday night for their new home in the
mountain region of North Carolina. Their many friends regret their going.

remodeled.

Mrs. W.U. Almon spent Saturday and Sunday with her grandchildren in Anniston.

The eight year old boy of Bunk Vaughn was buried on Monday after an illness of
one week.

Mrs. E.T. Cato and children are visiting relatives in Gadsden.

In the matter of the Probate of the Will of James W. Rowe, deceased; To:
Amanda Jenkins, James M. Jenkins
Mary Roberts, J.L. Roberts; all of whom reside at Esom Hill, Polk County,
Georgia; Martha Buttram and S.T. Buttram both of whom reside at Brookhaven,
Miss., R.F.D. 4. You will take notice that on the 9th day of May 1911 a
certain paper in writing purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of James
W. Rowe, deceased, was filed in this office for Probate, by Mary Roberts and
that the 12th day of June 1911 has been appointed the day to hear the proof in
support of the same, at which time you and all other persons interested may
appear and contest the same if you see proper to do so. A.H. Glasgow, Judge

ADMINISTRATOR's SETTLEMENT NOTICE
State of Alabama, Cleburne County Probate Court
Special Term 1911
In the matter of the estate of John Wheeler, deceased. This day came Emmett
M. Wheeler, administrator of the estate of said deceased and filed his
account, vouchers, evidence, and statement for final settlement of his said
administration. It is ordered that the 10th day of July 1911 be appointed a
day on which to make such settlement at which time all persons interested can
appear and contest the said settlement if they think proper. This 9th day of

Mrs. N.A. Johnson, Miss Eula Johnson and Master Ewell Johnson formerly of
Hugo, Oklahoma are in the city visiting relatives and friends. They go from
here to Columbia, South Carolina where in the future they will reside.

week destroying the buildings and contents of M.L. Watson and Dr. Black's
stores.

Baptist Convention.
