Distinguished Service Cross Citation
Moses E. Baldwin, corporal, Company G, 167th Infantry. For extraordinary
heroism in action near Landres-et-St. Georges, France, October 15, 1918. In an
attack on the Cote-de-Chatillon, disregarding all personal danger, he repeatedly
went over shell-swept areas under heavy machine-gun fire to give first-aid
treatment to the wounded and carry them to shelter. Residence at enlistment:
Midland City, Ala.
