Subject: Scott Harry and Reuben Wellington Aleshire

I'm looking for any information about Scott Harry Aleshire and his brother Reuben Wellington Aleshire
Scott was born about 1911, and Reuben about 1913, probably in Page County, Virginia to Nellie May Strickler
and Harry Lee Aleshire. Harry Lee Aleshire died February 14, 1914.
In the 1920 census, Scott and his younger brother Reuben Aleshire are in the home of their grandparents, John B and Martha E. Aleshire, Page County, Virginia I haven't been successful in finding their mother, Nellie May Strickler Aleshire in this census, although I know she was still living.
In 1930 I find John B and Martha Aleshire living alone in Page County, Virginia. I find Nellie M. now married to a significantly older William Edward Deal and living in Elkton, Rockingham County, Virginia, neither of the boys are with them. I haven't been successful in finding either of the boys anywhere in this census.
I know Reuben survived this census as he married a Charlotte Miller in 1934 in Page County, Virginia and I think he and Charlotte both died in Roanoke, Virginia in the 1970s.
I can find no other trace of Scott Harry anywhere. The Aleshire family was really good about putting up tombstones even for stillborn infants and there doesn't seem to be a stone anywhere in Page County Virginia for Scott, which would make me think he took a hike rather than died early....
Does anyone have any idea what happened to this young man?
