fri, mem of Cumberland church, services by Rev W.U. Griffith, burial in ch.
cem. Fri., 17 Nov 1905

GANN, S.W.: Gilberts, Al., June 10. Born at Washington co., tn, 19 Mar 1835.
Came to Al., when a bopy & lived here ever since. Vol in Confed Army-1861.
After war, farmed for living. Died of cancer of the face. Leaves 3 chn., 1
sis. Fri., 14 June 1901.

The date at the end of the abstract is the date the obit appeared in The
