Hi Reita,

Thanks for the reply. Here's all I have on this family:

Lent HALL was born about 1816 in Tennessee. He married a
woman named Catherine YOUNG, born about 1823 in Georgia
somewhere. They were married 8 Feb 1842 in Jefferson
County, Alabama. They had the following children born in
Franklin County, Alabama:

1. Cintha A., born 1844
2. Elizabeth, born 1848
3. Oller (female), born 1850
4. Josiah, born 1854
5. Martha, born 1857
6. Renfries (male), born 1858
7. Amos, born 1860
8. Rubin Newt, born 2 Dec 1862.
9. Andrew N., born 1866

If your Alexander was part of this family, he wasn't listed
in the 1870 census for Franklin County, AL. (where I got
most of this info).
