I'm searching for information on JAMES FAULKENBERRY born about 1800-1805
place unknown; died soon after the Civil War in Franklin County,
Alabama. James lived near the state line connecting Franklin County,
Alabama and Tishomingo County, Mississippi. The censuses show him in the
following places:

1830--Franklin County, AL
1840--Franklin County, AL
1850--Tishomingo County, MS
1860--Franklin County, AL

James had two to four wives, one being SARAH McKNIGHT, whom he married 1
December 1838 in Lawrence County, Alabama. I have always wondered why
they marreid in Lawrence County rather than Franklin County. Another
wife of James was Mary. James had 16 to 22 children, my great
grandfather, CHARLIE ROBERT FAULKENBERRY, being the youngest. Several
of the children removed to Texas and were living there by 1880. There
were no Faulkenberrys in Franklin or Colbert Counties in 1880.

The following are thought to be children of JAMES FAULKENBERRY but the
mother of the children is not known for sure.

in Kaufman Co., TX.

Other names found on a hand-written note indicating they were siblings
of half siblings of James Marcus Faulkenberry are: Tom, Beccie, Zeke,
Redmon, and Jake.

I would like to correspond with anyone who also researches one of these
families.
