Subject: [ALFRANKL-L] ROLL CALL: BE(U)RLIN - REDMAN
Date: Fri, 06 Nov 1998 21:27:08 -0500

As background, I know my folks lived in and/or approximate to Red Bay in
the early 1900's; however, it could have been across the line in Tish
MS.

At any rate I'm searching for John Calvin (or Cornelius) BE(u)RLIN bn
1825 and wife Sara(h) J. and son Wayne Cronelius (or Calvin) bn 1875 in
TN, Marshall County who married Mary Margaret REDMAN. Several children
came from this marriage, among them my mother Mabel Clara Berlin
(1908-1972).

The BERLIN name has been spelled with an "e" and/or "u" in the data I
have received. My mother always used an "e" in the spelling but at this
point I be confused.

REDMAN: James C. was born in SC (1846) and lived in Paint Rock AL during
the 1880 census; he was married to Caroline (1836-AL) with daughter Mary
Margaret (1876) who married Wayne Cornelius (Calvin); see children
"Mabel Clara" above. I've been told the REDMANs were native Americans
but have not documented that heritage.

If you have any info on these families I would much appreciate hearing
from you. Thx for bearing with me.
