Hello,

I don't recognize any of the Williams names you mentioned,
but there was a Stephen Williams in Marion County, AL,
according to land records by 1822. I believe he was the
father of Jane Williams Scott, wife of Peter Martin Scott
of Marion County. Peter and Jane lived practically on the
Marion/Franklin Counties line. These Williams lived both in
Marion and Franklin Counties, AL. Also, Cantrells lived in
both of these counties.

I would be so grateful if you would tell us where you found
the roster of soldiers "some soldiers of the Seminole war from
north AL". I would like to know if there are any other William
and Scott names listed. Thanks in advance for any help.
