I am researching Captain Appling's Company, 3rd Battalion Alabama
Reserves. My gggreat grandfather enlisted August 1, 1864 in Abbeville,
Henry County Alabama. Does anyone have any information on this
particular Regiment? Also am looking for any information on the
following people:
Andrew Jackson Bowen-born 1819 in Georgia. Had two children born in
Alabama by the names of James White Bowen born December 7, 1846, and
Lucinda Bowen born April 30, 1848. I have no information on his wife. I
believe that she may have died, because in June of 1853 he later marries
A Mary Lee Hayes from Early County, Georgia. If anyone has any
information it will greatly be appreciated. Thank you, Cory Bowen.
