It's out of print. There were some bootleg copies produced, though.... But,
they're all sold out, too, and unfortunately, the money from bootleg copies
does not go into the correct hands. Please do not buy such even if you
happen to find one.
Ask your library for an inter-library loan from Abbeville Memorial Library
in Abbeville, Henry Co AL. Surrounding counties also have the book.
The book was produced in 1961. The story goes that Mrs Scott was pressured
at the last minute to publish it for a local celebration long before her
work was really finished. So, the book contains many errors which Mrs Scott
never would have allowed had she been able to polish and fine tune her work.
Thus, because of the MANY errors, Mrs Scott's book is used only as a guide,
not as a reliable source. The product is not to be confused with the author,
as she was a very intelligent, and dedicated historian.
