I'm searching for any information on my great great grandmother, Nancy Jane
DYKES. The only thing I know about her is that she was born in May 1848 in
AL and that on 24 Sep 1868 in Henry County, AL she married Edward David
Taylor Whiddon. She died on 15 Dec 1930 and is buried in the Dundee Church
Cemetery in Hartford, AL.

She appears on the 1860 Barbour County census as a 12 year old in the
household of Samuel Wilkerson. I don't know if she was related to the
Wilkersons or not. I would be grateful for any information that anyone could
provide on Nancy's parents and siblings and the reason she may have appeared
in the Wilkerson household. (I'm speculating that maybe they were maternal
grandparents?)
