Greetings Everyone,

I was hoping someone could answer a couple questions for me:

According to Virgil White's "Index to Pension Applications for Indian Wars Service Between 1817 and 1898" my ggg grandfather, Malcolm Mathison served as a 2nd Lt. in Captain Gordon's Co. of 25th AL Volunteers in the Creek War. (Though his name is listed as "Matheson")

Would the records for this pesion application be in the archives in D.C and what kind of information would the application provide?

Does anyone know where I could find out more about Gordon's Co. of the 25th?
