Steve,
Thank you so much for your valuable information. I am printing copies of your postings so that I may share them with my grandmother. To answer your question regarding the locations of the graves for F. J. Cobia and Sarah E Ellis - I do not have the name of the location at the moment. My aunt was in Henry County visiting last year and made some rubbings of graves which I now have. FJ and Sarah are two of the rubbings I have. My aunt that did the rubbings lives in Colorado and due to the fires has had to leave her home so she is cruising the Carribean at the moment. When she returns I will certainly inquire about the cemetary. And in response to your question pertaining to the first wife of Francis Marion Cobia (FM) she was Martha Elizabeth Gray (called Mat) DOB May 16, 1853 DOD October 24, 1945 married on January 22, 1888. They had many children of which I am still searching, but I know of two: (my maternal great grandmother) Maud Elizabeth Cobia DOB March 22, 1892 DO!
D November 26, 1962 and Desser F Cobia DOB January 11, 1895. Hopefully as I talk with living relatives, I will have more information to share.
