While I was searching civil war records I came upon this.
Solomon S Starling
12 August 1834Born on 12 August 1834.
Described as having a dark complexion, grey eyes with dark hair.
He was 5 feet 11.5 inches tall.
Residence: Henry County, Alabama Occupation:

Enlisted as a Private on 17 March 1862 at the age of 27
Enlisted in Company D, 6th Infantry Regiment Florida on 17 March 1862.
Wounded on 19 September 1863 at Chickamauga, GA
POW on 12 April 1865 at Salisbury, NC
Confined on 20 April 1865 at Camp Chase, OH (Estimated date)
Oath Allegiance on 13 June 1865 at Camp Chase, OH (Released)
Was he related to the Solomon Starling that married Susannah Strickland?
