I know they were born in the United Kingdom. Phillip was born in 1802( died 1852), Sarah Matthews was born in the UK September 20, 1805 (died 1873). At some time, about 1820's they came to the US, and were probably married in southern Alabama (Henry) in 1823. They had 7 children, Peter (b. 1830, Barbour Co. AL, married Martha Dansby), Levi, Matthew, Sampson (b.1836, AL married Sarah Clayton), Elizabeth, John Phillip, Nathan.
I am looking for information about these individuals, and I am most interested in seeking information related to the generations before Phillip and Sarah, that of their ancestors in the UK, probably Scotland near Glasgow
