If both brothers were in Decatur, Georgia shortly before 1850, it would be a good idea to check the 1850 Decatur County United States Census for 1850 to see the names of any children. Most couples in this era had a child within the first year of a marriage. Then check both the 1860 Cenus for Decatur County, Georgia and Henry County, Alabama to see where they were ten years later and again what children may have been born into the family. With the names of children you can get asistance in getting the marriage dates of these siblings. Do you have the names for "J.J." and "W. R."? I have checked the census records in Henry County up to 1855 and there is no showing of the two. There are no land transactions in the Sparta and Elba Land Office either up to 1860. So then it would be to the 1870 Census records to try and locate the Watsons. After you get some more of your facts together, fell free to share them with me on this message board or you may contact me privately.

Very Henry Countily,
Steve Elliott
