Le,
I my gr gr grandmother Nancy Kirkland Scott was also a child of Caleb
and Sarah Kirkland.
Do you have any info on W.E. Whiddon, who married a daughter of Nancy,
Ethalinda Scott Whiddon?
I seem to remember someone telling me that W.E. Whiddon either perfomed
the ceremony or was
a witness to the marriage of William S. Scott, Ethalinda's brother, to
the young Nancy Kirkland (who
later was married to Randolph Blackshear). I would like to know more
about him. I have video of
his and Ethalinda's headstone in Sholar cemetery in Shelby/Panola county
Texas. Also, David Sholar
married Eliza Scott , Ethalinda and William's sister in Henry County and
came to Texas with John and
Nancy and W.E. and Ethalinda.
