If he lived past 1907 he will be listed on the 1907 Enumeration of
Confederate Soldiers of Alabama. Each County had questionnaires sent to its
many veterans living there. Also the 1921 Census of Confederate Soldiers has
information on its veterans. Check those two sources. I do not know if there
was one past 1921.

CSA Vet H.J.L. Adams was my great-great grandfather. His full name was
Henry James Lumpkin Adams. Although he survived the Civil War, he suffered
greatly the rest of his life from wounds received. If anyone has any
further information on H.J.L., especially the names of his parents, it would
be greatly appreciated.
