Gale,
If you are hunting cemeteries in Alabama, the best source is the AL DOT
County maps. They can be ordered from here: <A
HREF="http://www.dot.state.al.us/bureau/Equipment/maps.htm">Alabama
Department of Transportation -- Maps</A> . They cost little, but are
priceless when hunting churches, schools, cemeteries, etc. If the cemetery
is old and not on paved roads, it will still show access to it. You can
order them in different sizes (larger print for older eyes!). Their response
was prompt, too. Note: You need a street address...no post office boxes.
Houston County has a "finger" that extends between Dale and Geneva County
which caused us some confusion till we got the maps. We enjoyed touring the
back roads of Alabama....and not getting lost!

<<John,

Thanks. I did find it. It's a family cemetery on what was family land, on a
dirt road off county road 44.

My great aunt doesn't live too far from there now. She has lived in Slocomb
"forever".

Now I need to find Ramah cemetery and locate some of my McDaniels, on a
future trip. Always hunting for someone!

Happy New Year!>>
