Looking for any information on William Murphy (prob. parents Richard Murphy
and Effie McDuffee). William born GA on October 15, 1811 and died April 6,
1882, prob. in Tallapoosa Co. or Lee Co., AL.

He is listed with his family in 1870 Census Tallapoosa Co., AL p. 169 A & B,
in 1860 Tallapoosa Co., AL and 1855 Tallapoosa Co., AL Census.

William Murphy married Elizabeth "Eliza" L. Teat on November 13, 1836, in
Upson Co., GA. Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Baner Teat, Sr., and
Sallie Miller. Elizabeth was born in Putnam Co., GA on October 15, 1814,
and
died December 24, 1876.

Children: "Molly" Mary A. Murphy about. 1838 GA; G. T. Murphy about 1839;
Thomas J. Murphy about 1840 GA; William H. Murphy about 1841 GA; George M.
Murphy about 1844 GA; Martha S. Murphy about 1848 GA; R. M. Jane Murphy
about 1850 AL; James H. Murphy about 1851 AL; John Milton Murphy born April
17, 1853 Tallapossa Co., or Lee Co., AL died November 30, 1919 in Jefferson
Co., AL
married Mary Ottis Costley; Annette Murphy born about 1856 AL; Nathaniel
"Nathan" Murphy b. about 1858 AL married January 23, 1883 in Lee Co., AL to
D. E. Quillin.
