my grandparents were Davis. My grandmother was a Davis who married a Davis. We are from Bladen County NC and I can't imagine there are that many different Davises there. I have some information on my grandmother's side, but have not been so lucky finding information on my grandfathers side. I do know from talking with them that my grandmother was of Cherokee and Italian lineage and my grandfather was Dutch and Irish lineage.They are Henry Cleveland Davis and Laney Burdetta Davis.
