Thank you so much for your speedy response! Unfortunately, my Marquis's
were white and slave owners, so the folks you looked up are probably
connected to them. I certainly appreciate your reply and willingness to
check them out for me, though! If anyone out there has access to an 1860 or
1870 census, Maybe I could find them there. They were George Marquis and
his wife Mary (Jones, then Fitzpatrick- she was married twice); they had a
daughter Lucille Finnie Marquis who died in 1863. This is all I know of
these folks. If anyone has access to more info, I'd appreciate It. Thanks
again!
