In the Early American Marriages: Alabama, 1800-1920 by Jordan R. Dodd is listed my 3rd great-grandparents:
Edward M. MOORE married Mary Ann HENSLY on 11 December 1841 in Macon County, Alabama. In a typewritten autobiography by my 2nd great-grandfather William Charles Kelly, he lists his mother-in-law as Mary Ann HENLEY. The spelling may be the reason I’ve not been able to locate the whereabouts of any records.
I know that Edward had a brother George MOORE. However, I didn’t know anything else until able to look at extracts from this book. Underneath Edward M. MOORE is a George W. MOORE and he married a Emeline HENLEY on 28 December 1842. Although I am not sure if these two people relate to my 3rd g-grandparents, based upon surnames, they may be.
If by chance anyone knows anything about these people, please contact me directly. Thank you for your help and generous support.
