Hi Freda,

Looking back on an email sent by you on July 18 you have a Mary Jane Mims ( I
think that you meant to put 'Grimes') born Jan. of 1853 as being married to Andrew
Jackson Stacey and then to George Washington Stacey. I replied stating that I too
have a Mary Jane Grimes married to George Washington Stacey on Sept. 8, 1864. I
also stated that I didn't think that it was Mary Jane Grimes, daughter of William
and Mary Jane Mims Grimes who married G. W. Stacey because she would have only
been 11 years old at the time. Now, there is a great possibility that the Mary
Jane Grimes who married G. W. Stacey in 1864 was Mary Jane Mims Grimes, wife of
William Grimes. Of this I have no proof, but I just wanted to make sure that we
were not getting the Mary Jane Grimes, mother mixed up with the Mary Jane Grimes,
daughter.
You also asked the connection between George Washington Stacey Sr. and James
Monroe STacey. I'm sending what I have. I know it's alot but maybe someone will
see soemthing that answers or brings up more questions. Not everything has been
proven and I would appreciate any comments. Here goes:
