Mrs. Hammerly Dies At Hospital
Mrs. E. T. Hammerly, 73 formerly of Tuscumbia, but who had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Harold Murphree, here for the past several years, died at a local hospital this morning after a short illness.
Surviving are her husband, E. T. Hammerly, Troy: two daughters, Mrs. Harold Murphree, Troy and Mrs. J. E. Sherrod, Jackson, Miss.: one son, T. R. Hammerly, Jackson, Miss.: five grandchildren: one great-grandson: one sister, Mrs. Frank L. Williams, Memphis, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held from the Home at 10:30 am Friday with Rev. Selman Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery with McGehee Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers will be John Selman, Bill Murphree, Sam Murphree, Dr. H. T. McKinnon, Roy Holmes, Erastus Hanchey, Joe K. Brantley and H. L. Worrell.
