My computer went down so I do not know if others gave suggestions or not
for your Randolph County research. As you are probably aware, Randolph
county court house burned about 1897 and all was lost. You may not be able
to find much actually in Randolph county that is not also available at the
library in Anniston or say the state Archives in Montgomery such as census
info etc.

The library at Anniston is really terrific. Their Alabama Room has great
Alabama information, including what little there is on Randolph per
se. The Montgomery Archives are very nice and they have microfilm of some
of the newspapers that covered Randolph Co and vicinity back in the late
1800's. (I do not know if Anniston has these or not. I did not even try
for them there but I did at Montgomery.) Both Montgomery and Anniston have
some Civil War records; I used them both places.

The internet site for the Anniston-Calhoun Library is
http://www.anniston.lib.al.us/
There is a link to info on the Alabama from there.

I was a little disappointed in Randolph and Clay libraries and court
records but that is because there just is not much in the way of records
there. I will say the people at the courthouses were just wonderful and
helpful, letting us dig at our own leisure through whatever was there.

Best of luck to you.
