Well, here I go again on this map and county thing.

Best I can tell the only Loachapoka features mentioned are all in modern day
Lee County just west of Auburn. I think this would have placed all of them
in Macon County before 1866. Here are the features that I found in AL with
that name associated. The numbers are lattitude and longitude.

Loachapoka AL Lee populated place 323615N 0853536W Loachapoka
Loachapoka Cemetery AL Lee cemetery 323639N 0853618W Loachapoka
Loachapoka Historic District AL Lee park 323615N 0853553W Loachapoka
Loachapoka Junior High School AL Lee school 323522N 0853447W Loachapoka
Loachapoka Post Office AL Lee post office 323616N 0853554W Loachapoka
Loachapoka School AL Lee school 323614N 0853531W Loachapoka

Lee County was formed from Chambers, Macon, Russell and Tallapoosa Counties
in 1866. I am trying to find out how many of the above counties have
information about Loachapoka in them. Lee, Chambers, and Tallapoosa, from
what I have seen on census records and cemetery records.
