Martha;
I believe the Old Girard Cemetery is chronicled in the book, "Sacred to the Memory of the Ancestors of Russell County, AL", compiled by Phyllis W. East. This book is in the Genealogy Library of the main Columbus Library branch (formerly the old Bradley Library) Columbus Public Library 3000 Macon Rd. 31906 - 706-243-2669 M-Th 9-9;
F-S 9-6; Sun 1:30-6:30.
There are several old Russell County Cemetery's logged in this book; many with maps detailing where the graves can be found. I have found the Columbus Genealogical library staff to be most helpful. Call them and ask if the Girard Cemetery is detailed in the book. If it is; they will gladly photo copy the pages and for a small fee, mail those out to you.
I've been able to get the pages for all Fuller's in Ladonia Cemetery, Evans Cemetery and others...
Good Luck!
Jon

Subject: [Russell Co., AL] The Old Gerard Cemetery in Phenix City
Hello All,
Does anyone have a listing of those who are interred in the Old Gerard
Cemetery in Phenix City, AL? Also, does anyone have directions for how to get
there? I am driving down from Ohio in October and would like to go there in
search of ancestors.
Thanks, and
Have a Great Day!
Martha Mordecai
