Chads was further to the east on that road into PC, not much but not in that
corner, that corner where the blue is, there was a motel on the right and
the hospital sat back off to the left off the road and kind of up a hill, it
was hiway 280 and in that curve it ran into hiway 80 which went west to
Crawford and on toward the river, the fire station was on the right and car
lots and on down was the "V', and if you went to the left that was the way
to Chads and on in to PC and then across that bridge (that bridge is now
closed) and 13th st, which is where the other part of the "V' went on but is
now straight and is now the 13th st bridge going all the way over the river
and into Columbus, now you could go back towards Opelika, what they called
the 'back road" (now 169 off hiway 80) and I think there was some night
clubs on that road, Ma Beechie was closer to the river in what was supposed
to be downtown, I remember Chads and another one a "bit nicer" than Chads
but it was on the other part of the "V", don't remember the name - there
were also clubs on that back road and going into PC was Pritchetts Fish Camp
or Cafe -

| Jim, Shannon, Delilah, John, Ed, RB,
|
| Thanks for your responses.
|
| Please take a look at the map at:

|
|
| This is how I remember the clubs, but still am not sure of the "green"
club.
| See if this agrees with your recollection and maybe it will pinpoint the
| location of the club name I am trying to remember.
|
| Thanks,
| David
