Shortcut for those of you in a hurry: ABT, FILLRINGER, GISINGER, KEMPF,
RICHARD, RIEDINGER, SCHERRER, SCHWOB, SONTRAEGER, WICKER,
Towns: MANSPACH, DANNEMARIE, RETZWILLER, ALTENACH.

I have posted a query about my Schwob family from Manspach, but I neglected
to add the other names I knew, so, here goes:

Joseph Schwob (1806 Manspach - 1868 St. Louis, MO)
f. Erhard Schwob b. 6/2/1776 in Manspach) Erhard's parents are Josef
Schwob and Anna Wicker.
m. Barbara Richard (died 5/25/1825 in Manspach)

Joseph Schwob was married to Catherine Schwob, her birth name.

Catherine Schwob ( 6/13/1813 - Manspach - 8/14/1866 in Mariah Hill, Indiana)
f. Anton Schwob (5/13/1778 - Manspach - 6/1818 Manspach) Buried at St.
Leger. Anton's parents are Theobald Luitgard Schwob (died 12/1/1811) at
Manspach and Magdalene Gisinger (died 9/12/1812 in Manspach).
:m. Catherine Kempf (died 1/23/1832 - Manspach). Her parents are Josef
Kempf (died before 6/8/1808) and Katharina Scherrer. They were married
in 1776 in Dannemarie.

I have more on the Kempf line.

Josef Kempf's parents were:
f. Jean Thiebaud Kempf of Altenach
m Ursulle Fillringer. They were married in 1745.
Jean Thiebaud Kempf''s parents were:
f. Jean Kempf
m Barbara Schwob. Both were dead before 11/6/1745 in Altenach.

Ursulle Fillringer's parents are:
f. Georges Fillringer (died before 3/19/1732/33 in Retzwiller.)
m. Madeleine Sontraeger (died before 2/21/1742/43 in Dannemarie.)

Georges Fillringer's parents are:
f. Jacques Fllringer (died before 6/26/16810
m. Marguerite Abt

Jacques Fillringer's parents are:
m. Christian Fillringer (died before 6/26/1681 at Retzwiller. Buried at
Dannemarie.
m. Anne Riedinger. (died at Retzwiller)

Any information on these families will be greatly appreciated, as will any
info on the migration of families like the Schwob's who almost had to have
come from Basel based on the concentration of Schwob families there.

Thanks in advance,

Gina Einig
