I found the following on the 1880 LDS Census CD's:
Moscow, Kemper, Mississippi Page 80D
Jessee W. LOVELADY Self M M W 72 TN Farmer
Marthy J. LOVELADY Wife F M W 43 AL Keeping House
Thos. H. JOHNSON Son M - W 20 AL At School ??20 Years old!?
Sallie LOVELADY Dau F S W 7 AL
Jno. C. LOVELADY Son M S W 4 AL
also listed as "Other" Wealthy Saunders, F, 14, AL - Jas. R. LOCKLEY, M, 19, SC - Jas. W. HAILEY, M, 20, MS
I think this is them!
There is also a James J. LOVELADY, 38, Marta V., 34 with children in Walker AL. These are the only two "J" anything LOVELADY's in MS/AL 1880 Census that are married to anything near Martha.
Thank you for giving me yet another lead to check. Like you, I had thought this line was MINE alone! It is nice to know that just maybe we are working on the same one. What is your connection to Thomas Johnson?
