Subject: Krall, Switzerland > USA, 1729, Help......

I am currently embarking on a research project into family history and
lineage. So far in my research, I have been able to trace the Krall family
tree back to 1729 when the first, a Dr. John Urlich Krall, sailed over from
Switzerland. My U.S. ancestry is primarily Pennsylvania Dutch (German), and
I have come across at least 3 "registered" arms, learned upon from
fly-by-nite "mall stands." My questions are these:

1. What is the best and easiest way to continue family lineage tracking
beyond 1729?

I have hit a wall with my efforts at this point and am not knowledgeable of
the direction I need to follow. I have been unable to pinpoint specific
heritage of the Krall lineage, either German, Dutch, Polish, Czech,
Austrian, or Swiss, because of the multiple spellings discovered; Krall,
Kral, Kralle, Krol, Kroll. These generalities have made it extremely
difficult.

and

2. How can I obtain records of all individually registered arms in Europe?

I would like to put together a compiled history of all Krall arms, whether
of direct descendents or not. This is not to assume or claim rights to any
specific arms, unless pedigree can be proven through research. I would just
to compile a general history of family lineage prior to our flight to the
United States as a point of reference. My great aunt, as our family
historian, has kept all records of our family since coming to the U.S. and
with my interest in this area, I will inherit those duties.

Any advice, help and/or assistance would be much appreciated. Please send
all correspondance to:

Thank you, in advance.
