You can, indeed, order the 1881 British Census CDs over the
familysearch.org site. I did and received my discs in about five days
(US order to US address).
Remember, the LDS Church has done genealogy a great service just by
putting this relatively small amount of records on the Internet, and
more will follow. Anyone who uses LDS records knows that they must be
confirmed independently. I never take information, say, from the IGI as
gospel. Instead, I use it as something to check with another source. I
get tired of all the grousing about the site. If you don't like it,
either don't use it, give them constructive feedback per their
requested form on the site, or design your own website with thousands
of records for access by all and sundry.
