Have you looked into the Alice VanArsdales listed in the SSDI?
One was born in 1914 and her SS# was issued in New Jersey. She
died in Texas. The other was born in 1893 and died in Ashbury
Park. Either is possible, but I would probably start with the
NJ-Texas one. Her SS-5 should list her parents' names and her
place of birth.
