Hi Brenda-- If you are in an area that has a significant
Japanese-American population, check for a Buddhist Church. There will
be some folks trained in Japan there. They should also be fimiliar
with the family/village record-keeping system you need to hook into.
Another possibility is an LDS missionary (or other denomination for
that matter) who was in Japan and learned the written language.
