One would hope it got salvaged. Everything and everybody got
shipped to Omaha, where the UP seems to have been in much
better control of things like that. I have not checked the building
in the last year and a half, but I believe they are all gone now.

SP was not in the most orderly condition at the time, and
sorting through all that stuff, among the rats (big wharf ones,
it was built on fill, and the Bay seawater would often flood
in at high tides), was likely not of the highest priority. The
building was built after the 1906 earthquake, but there was
130+ years of history, dating back to the Central Pacific. Most
of the good stuff probably got pilfered. Hopefully by the
railway buffs.
