Ha! Yeah, we sure got a bunch of ways to mess up the old name! It is my
understanding that the old Scottish spelling was Brunlie. But I have seen
many Scotsmen spelling it Brownlie. And let's not forget the English
Brownlow (the Lord Mayor Himself)! And there is an Alvin Brownley on the
rootsweb Brownlee-List.
Don't know about everybody signing with Soundex codes!<G> That would also
put us in there with Barenwald, Baranello, Barnhill, etc etc. Methinks there
is already sufficient confusion. <g>
