I accept your opinion about this matter of the namechange but do you
realize what it means to change an opinion after 40 years about the
origin of a name, that is much more important for me.
My father never know this before he died.
His whole life he was telling that the origin of his name was jewish
because of this terrible familyregister with that introduction of that
stupid
professor.
I understand your interest in those kind of details as a hobby but
for me is more important was is the outcome on the mind of this
kind of stuff.
The effects of those kind of information connected to status and
position. When you speak to a Jew or live together with Jews
you will notice the importance of those things.
When you have a rare name like Borra, people your will ask
you your whole life: Where is that name coming from?
Maybe the same thing will happens with Pence, I don't know.
For more than 40 years I gave the wrong answer and that was
the importance for me of Bobs information (thanks) and of
that name was changes from borray to borra is not interesting
for me. I only told what I found in the papers and let we conclude
that it was very nice in those days that people had different kind
of spellings.
For my self I conclude on the matter that the damage on the mind
(inflation) is bigger than the bennefit of these genealogystuff.
I n countries like the us and australia those things are maybe more
important because of the fact that in the old days outof europe
the criminals were send to the colonies. My memory of the
schoolteachings in europe.
Have a good time with this terrible stuff.
