My great-grandfather John Daniel Davis wrote his will in March 1873 in
Tallapoosa Co and it was witnessed by John A. Davis. Could this John A.
Davis be a relative? John Daniel Davis and his brothers and sisters were
involved in legal documents with the children of Sarah R. Moon b.1820
who married John B. Davis and then James B. Davis - married both in
Meriwether Co, Georgia. We have no idea if these Davis men could be
relatives. Could someone help us? Our Davis family lived in Tallapoosa
Co between Jackson Gap and Dadeville just west of Old Union Cemetery
which is located just off the main highway between these two towns.
Does anyone know if these three Davis men could be related - John A.
Davis, James B. Davis, and John B. Davis.
I forgot to say that the parents of John Daniel Davis b.1832 SC were
John Davis b.1795-1800 and Rachel Greer who came to this area from the
Laurens Co, SC area.As far as I know they did not live in the Meriwether
County, Ga area.
