Hello!
I am researching the Wade Davis family of Black;'s Bluff Beat in Wilcox
County 1870.
In the 1870 census is found:
DAVIS, Wade age 29 owning $500 of real estate and having either $400 or $600
in personal property.
Listed with him are Jennie 25 (wife)
Cora 6 (daughter)
Jenkins 4 (son)
Wade 2 (son)
Listed further down the same page is Guich(?) Davis age 32, Charlotte 28,
Israel 5 and Jonah 2.
On the next page is Lucy Davis 23 with Joseph 5 and David 2.
On a preceeding page is Sherod Davis 24, Mary 21 and Monroe 1.

In the 1880 Census of Wilcox County, still in Black's Bluff are listed:
Wade DAVIS 38
Mary 39
Cora 15,
Robert 12
Polly 11
Wade 11
Simeon 9
Caroline 3
John 2
Moses 17 (stepson)
Susan 16 (stepdaughter)

By the 1900 Census, still in Black's Bluff:
Mary DAVIS listed as head of household age 59
Carry GOODE daughter 23
John DAVIS son 20
James DAVIS son 17
Walter GOODE grandson 4

also on the same page:
Wade DAVIS age 25
Harriet wife age 21
Eliza daughter 2

Can anyone identify this family? I do have some additional information on
this line.
