I suppose you are aware that the 1850 Wilcox Census shows a "W. E." Powe, age
38, and married to Jane, age 28, with two children , Lavinia and Clarene,
both born in Alabama. There is also another Powe, a Calvin and Adelline. I am
mildly interested in the Powes because my gggg grandfather, Robert Henderson,
also of Wilcox cty, named one of his sons, Calvin Powe Henderson. This is
hardlly a random choosing.
