There were many McWilliams who lived in Wilcox County and Monroe County, Alabama. Do a search on the ALWilcox GenWeb site and you will get quite a few hits. There was a Rev. John McWilliams who served as pastor of the Philadelphia Baptist Church in Tunnel Springs, AL from 1840 to 1870. He also was the pastor of Zion Baptist Church in Monroe, Co. My ggg grandfather, Daniel Fore, was a deacon at Zion. Two of the Fore children married two of the McWilliams children. Hope this helps.
