I am wondering if you Williams family might be related to the family of Rev. James Thompson. Rev Thompson started Society Hill Methodist Church in Wilcox Co, AL.

I gathered from your query that the Williams family might be from Wilcox county.

James Thompson was my gggg grandfather, and his son, Benjamin Davis Thompson had a daughter, Martha Branche Thompson who married a Williams.

I have been unable to locate the first name of Mr Williams. Was just wondering if they might be connected.

Census records have Martha born abt 1842, in Wilcox County.
