Ancestry sure doesn't make it easy. I read three different
descriptions of that CD on Ancestry pages before I found this page;
http://www.ancestry.thirdage.com/search/rectype/inddbs/4282.htm
"The records in this database were taken from Record Group 93 M246 in
the National Archives (a total of 138 rolls of microfilm). "
With the number it returned you might be able to determine what unit
the soldier was in by looking at
http://www.nara.gov/publications/microfilm/military/mil02.txt
You'll want to get the reel to browse through as these records have a
lot of miscellaneous info that won't be indexed.
The reels can be rented or purchased from NARA, or Heritage Quest.
I'm almost certain the FHC's also carry them.
