INFORMATION
" In 1794, Mrs Mary KIDD, the widow of James HIGGINSON who was murdered in
the American War of Independence and despoiled of all of his goods, returns
to Ireland at the age of 62 with some of her children " to deposit her bones
in the land of her nativity".

At the house of her son, Mr James Higginson, Rutland street, on Wednesday
morning last aged 74, Mrs Mary Kidd here to before relict of James Higginson
formerly of Hammond's Marsh in this city. After experiencing the loss of her
husband and his property during the American Revolutionary War and after
residing 30 years in America, she re-crossed the Atlantic at the age of 62
to deposit her bones in the land of her nativity.
