This note from one of my online language class members... no Cherokee at all, but was ADOPTED... and has native friends who she calls sisters. I also was told by a source that wishes to be anoynmus, that she paid 5000 dollars to become an Indian. She is Dutch. What is the deal??????? My grandpa worked hard at keeping his race a secret due to racism and he had nine children to feed, and white people would not hire an Indian to paint their houses back in the 30's, 40s, 50's and 60's. So why so many white people want to be Indians? We are born who we are. You can't become an Indian. Just as I can't become a Australian bushwoman just by paying some group out there that promises such for a donation, etc. LOL (hmmmm.... anybody seen any dingos or koala bears?)

o'syio , I am sorry I do not have a payed email adress , only free adress . on hotmail , it is (CUT OUT) I know very little of the cherokee language , just the basics , some expressions a few words . I am from Belgium and I learn from my elder Lila Standing Tall and from what I hear from friends, and another native sister.

I have been adopted into RedNation of the Cherokee , and I guess I will travel to US alot from now on . so I would love to learn the language too of course, problem is , my Elder is eastern band, and my other sister is western band lol , it makes it really complicated !!!!!!!!!!
