Hello subscribers;

I just had occasion to check our mail list archives,
and when I looked at the level of participation by you
guys and gals, it is very sad.

This is the 24th of May and we had a total of 28 postings
on this list, a total of 436 so far this year -
and guess what - 225 of them were from me - John Merz,

Despite my calls for participation - hardly any responses,
that's no fun !

Seems I get a lot more response when I post something to
other lists, so what's up, are you not looking for your Hessians?

Funny thing - I had an e-mail today for a Hessian name -
when I filed my response - to my surprise I found the same
enquirer asking me exactly the same questions = in May 1998.
And I remember that I spend at least 4 hours to research that
request and write an answer. We had no AmRev mail list then.

That's what is so discouraging.
