For those who are interested, the voyage of the Archer is detailed in the
troop diary of the von Knyphausen written by Lt. Ritter. Ritter was on board
the Archer, so his account paints an interesting picture of the adventures
of these troops. The diary has been translated into English.

While on PEI, 3 German officers, von Borck, Zimmeramnn and Schimmelfeng
received land grants in Charlottetown from the British crown. It is doubtful
that they ever returned to the Island, but several other soldiers from the
regiment did.

Hi Bob & Fred,
Thank you for that correction Fred, I didn't know if it was incorrect or if
my information was incorrect. My two Hessians Johann Jacob Bonstein on the
Trenton and Paulus Bonstein on the Archer, my information had Paulus going
to Quebec. I did not know it was the next summer though...
